I've been doing a lot of random things lately. For one, this low effort site now exists!! It's low effort in the sense that I literally made it with Claude. The posts and assets are my own doing, but the actual site code was generated in a few minutes. That's why I'd rather people don't treat this site as anything too special. However, I hope you enjoy my words or something lol.
As you probably already know (assuming you know who I am; if not, how did you find this site??), I stream on Twitch pretty often these days. I've been away for a couple weeks for travel reasons, but I'm hoping to get back to it. I know I've started doing streams where I purely chat with people, and those have been fun. Of course, it can be a bit awkward when people start talking about games or other topics I know nothing about, but I still have fun when I get to talk about the things I enjoy. I'd also love to get back into streaming Touhou more. I've noticed I go through phases where I play it a ton and then get busy with life and don't have the energy for a while. I still love the games though, and if you're waiting for my Touhou streams, just know I'm doing my best lol.
Obviously, weekly Arenas has been super fun. I've noticed the streams have been pretty dead lately, and that makes me sad. It seems much harder to get people to watch or play with me these days. I've fallen victim to the hellscape that is the modern internet to where low engagement makes me feel empty, while big numbers bring me joy. Don't let this happen to you!!
Speaking of Arenas, I've noticed I haven't been in the mood to work on development as much lately. I've implemented a few minor changes recently, but I haven't added much new content. It could have something to do with my lack of energy recently, but I've also been less motivated since interest has died down a lot recently. If people don't care to play or watch as much, why should I spend hours making stuff for them? I've always added features for my own enjoyment, but when I'm not in the mood, the only incentive is making others happy. I might add some things here and there, but it'll likely be less frequent unless there's a resurgence in interest.
I've also been in the mood to upload more YouTube videos. I've released a few Arena Clips videos recently. Those take multiple hours to edit, but they also require basically no actual thought. The time is the only draining aspect, as the actual clips are fun to relive. Of course, I wish more people would watch them, as Arenas is something I always enjoy discussing with others despite how niche it is (considering only my community knows it exists).
Graze in the Life, my other YouTube series, has been dead for a bit. I just haven't had much new in my life to talk about, and I haven't been in the mood to discuss the few topic ideas I have. It's probably the lowest effort content I can make, so I'd like to bring it back, even if basically nobody wants to watch it. If you have any ideas, please comment them on the existing Graze in the Life videos (comment, don't message me; I need engagement for the algorithm!!). I need more ideas lol.
Another thing that's been dead for a while is Senpoo Music. I constantly think about music, but it takes so much energy to actually produce something to share. For Touhou arrangements, the process of transcribing the original song is extremely draining. It's only when I get to add in my own ideas ("arranging") that it becomes extremely fun for me. This part of the process feels SO GOOD!! However, it's pretty difficult to reach this step without burning out multiple times. My originals are all me, so they don't have this issue. However, they still require a ton of energy and motivation. Plus, even if I make them, I know that basically nobody will want to listen to them outside of a few friends of mine. If anything, I'd like to make more originals. However, I know there's basically no demand. :')
Outside of my internet activities, I've been doing research as usual. I have a new project I'm about to start working on. It'll be a challenge, but I bet I'll learn a lot. My other project, which is more machine learning focused, is on hiatus for now. While it was fun, I definitely reached a point where it became repetative. I became so burnt out from only a few days of work that I literally had to take some time off to rest lmao!
In my free time, I've just been watching YouTube. I've also become addicted to Angry Birds 2 recently, so that's been fun. As usual, I've also been keeping up with Clash of Clans, which was the only mobile game I actively played prior to my Angry Birds obsession. I've been rotting a lot lately, but maybe I could get more stuff released for people to enjoy. I know that almost nobody cares about the things I make, but it feels good to get occasional validation.
